About San Patricios

The bond between Ireland and Mexico goes deeper than fiestas and hooleys, whiskey and mezcal.

These two nations share a spirit of rebellion, resistance, pride and defiance – and in the 1840s, they joined forces to form the Batallón de San Patricios, defending Mexican soil from American invasion. The odds were stacked, but they fought on, together, to the bitter end.

Here, we channel the rebel spirit of our namesake, paying homage to those who fight for what’s right, no matter the cost. And yes, there’s also tequila, poitín, Mexican street food, and Irish pub classics, alongside live music, bread broken, and spirits spilt.

Because unity tastes best at the table – and ours is big enough for everyone.

If you’ve Irish or Mexican roots, you’ll know we love breaking bread and pouring drinks, turning strangers into friends, swapping stories around the table, and lingering over the bar into the wee hours.

Our dishes and drinks draw on traditional recipes, reimagined to celebrate both cultures - hearty food, humble ingredients, fresh produce, moreish cocktails, and flavours passed down through generations.
